FTSE 250 movers: Oil stocks rise; Ferrexpo slides

(Sharecast News) - FTSE 250 (MCX) 20,606.19 -1.64% With investors focused on President Donald Trump's wide-ranging tariff threats, markets were in turmoil on Monday, driven by the uncertainty of who might be next to incur the hard right leader's wrath.

Trump also said over the weekend that tariffs on the European Union "will definitely happen", and was critical of the trade deficit with the EU. He said Britain is "out of line" when it comes to trade and that tariffs "might happen" but "that one can be worked out".

Over the weekend he outlined plans to slap Canada, Mexico and China with tariffs.

On the equities front, oil prices were higher, benefiting Diversified Energy and Energean.

Iron ore pellet maker Ferrexpo which exports the steel-making material fell sharply on the tariff threat.
