Big Yellow wins appeal to build site in Kentish Town

(Sharecast News) - Self storage company Big Yellow said it had been granted planning permission for a 68,400 sq ft store in London's Kentish Town after winning an appeal for the development.

Construction was expected to start in the early part of next year, with the store to open in 2026, the company said on Tuesday.

"This will be the first purpose-built self storage centre in the London Borough of Camden which has a population of approximately 220,000. Acquiring sites and securing planning in densely populated inner London is formidably difficult and so it is pleasing to have succeeded," said chief executive Jim Gibson.
