Director dealings: Arbuthnot Banking chairman raises stake

(Sharecast News) - Arbuthnot Banking revealed on Thursday that chairman Henry Angest had acquired 100,000 ordinary shares in the London-listed private and merchant bank. Angest, who was appointed director of Arbuthnot in 1994, purchased the shares at an average price of 990.0p each, for a total value of £989,999.96.

Following the transaction, Angest holds 9.27m ordinary Arbuthnot shares, representing approximately 57.31% of the company's issued share capital.

As of 1630 GMT, Arbuthnot shares were up 3.32% at 1,028.0p.
