Eurozone construction rises 0.4% in September

(Sharecast News) - Construction output in the eurozone rose 0.4% in September compared to the previous month, according European Union statistics agency Eurostat.

On an annualised basis, output of the euro area fell 0.3%

The figure grew by 0.5% in the 27-member European Union on a monthly basis and by 0.1% across the broader EU.



Civil engineering increased by 1.5% and 1.1% while building construction was up by 0.2% and 0.3% month-on-month in the eurozone and the EU respectively. Building construction fell 0.3% annually, while civil engineering increased by 2.5% in the eurozone. In the EU, building construction dropped by 0.1%, and civil engineering grew by 2.8%.
