Synergia reports progress on Cambay well lift operations

(Sharecast News) - Synergia Energy updated the market on the progress of its artificial lift operations at the Cambay C-77H well on Friday. The AIM-traded company installed a jet pump in September, operating reliably since then.

To monitor the fluid levels in the borehole, two echometer surveys were conducted.

Synergia said the first survey, conducted on 6 October, revealed a fluid column ranging from 700 to 900 metres in the wellbore.

The second survey, conducted on 21 October, showed a fluid column of around 400 metres.

Currently, gas production rates at the Cambay C-77H well have stabilised at 150,000 standard cubic feet per day, with gas condensate production ranging between six and 12 barrels per day.

The output of produced water had declined, now operating at 15 barrels per day, down from its initial peak levels of around 60 daily barrels.

"It is believed that the water ingress is coming from zones one to four, which is limiting the gas and gas condensate production coming from zones five and six," Synergia's board said.

"The forward plan is to see if the fluid column continues to drop, indicating that the water ingress from zones one to four is reducing.

"A re-installation of a bridge plug to isolate zones 1-4 is still an option but may not be necessary if the fluid column can be reduced to manageable levels."

At 1400 GMT, shares in Synergia Energy were up 1.11% at 0.09p.
