FTSE 250 movers: Bytes Technology in the black; Essentra slides

(Sharecast News) - London's FTSE 250 was down 0.4% at 16,923.67 in afternoon trade on Wednesday. Bytes Technology gained as the software, security and cloud services company hiked its interim dividend by 12.5% after a strong first half, with revenues and profits rising by double-digits and billed income jumping by over a third.

Softcat was in the black, having slid a day earlier after its full-year revenues missed analysts' expectations.

CAB Payments was weaker again, having tanked on Tuesday after the payment processing company warned on full-year revenues, pointing to changes in market conditions in some of its key currency corridors, as well as ongoing uncertainties surrounding the Naira.

Essentra slumped as it said full-year adjusted operating profit was set to be "towards the lower end" of its expectations due to a "softer" trading environment.
