Volex pickec as Tesla charging equipment supplier

(Sharecast News) - Power and data transmission specialist manufacturer Volex announced a significant partnership with electric vehicle giant Tesla on Wednesday. The AIM-traded firm said the collaboration designated it as a licensed partner for Tesla's North American Charging Standard (NACS) EV charging system.

As part of the collaboration, Volex had been handpicked as the global manufacturer of the genuine NACS coupler.

"As a selected supplier of the NACS coupler, this further validates that Volex continues to be the trusted manufacturing partner of Tesla's charging system technology to the world's leading EV manufacturing companies and suppliers who utilise the NACS EV charging system," said executive chairman Nat Rothschild.

At 1430 BST, shares in Volex were down 1.83% at 308.26p.
