Wednesday preview: China CPI. UK house prices in the spotlight

(Sharecast News) - Investors' attention in the middle of the week would continue to be trained on the People's Republic of China and the latest consumer price statistics that would be released overnight in the Asian giant. Consensus was for a dip in the annual rate of increase in the country's Consumer Price Index from 0.0% for June to -0.5% in July.

Also due out was a reading for producer prices covering that same month.

On home shores, the only relevant report that was scheduled to be published was the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Housing Price Balance for July.

Ten-year government debt auctions were also scheduled in the U.K., U.S. and Germany.
