FTSE 100 movers: Frasers in the black; Ocado gives back some gains

(Sharecast News) - London's FTSE 100 was up 0.2% at 7,711.89 in afternoon trade on Monday. Mike Ashley's Frasers Group was higher after it upped its stake in fast-fashion retailer Boohoo.

According to a regulatory filing, the company - which owns Sports Direct, House of Fraser and Flannels, among others - lifted its stake to 7.8% from 6.8%

Online supermarket Ocado was the standout loser, having risen sharply last week.

The shares initially surged last Monday after it emerged over the weekend that it had secured £200m in a patent settlement with Norwegian rival AutoStore.

BT Group was also down after it announced the appointment of Allison Kirkby as chief executive, succeeding Philip Jansen around the end of January 2024 at the latest.

Kirkby has been President and CEO of Telia Company since early 2020. Telia is a Swedish digital communications and telecommunications provider to 25 million customers across the Nordic and Baltic region.
