U.S. labour costs ebb in second quarter
(Sharecast News) - The cost of labour in the States ebbed during the second quarter.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, in seasonally adjusted terms, the Employment Cost Index rose by 1.0% over the three months to June.
That was less than the 1.1% gain anticipated by economists and two tenths of a percentage point less than the first quarter's rate of increase.
