EZ inflation confirmed at 5.5%; Construction up 0.2%

(Sharecast News) - Eurozone annual inflation was confirmed at 5.5% in June from 6.1% in May, final official data from Eurostat showed Wednesday. The rate is also significantly lower than the 8.6% recorded in June 2022. European Union annual inflation was 6.4% in June 2023, down from 7.1% in May and lower than 9.6% a year earlier.

In a separate release, seasonally adjusted production in the construction sector for May rose 0.2% in both the euro area and in the EU compared with April, according to first estimates.
